About HiWhiteboard
HiWhiteboard is a free website with two browser tools: a free-form online whiteboard for sketches, diagrams, and lesson notes, and a Kanban board with real cards and columns for organizing tasks. It also offers six ready-to-use templates and a few practical guides.
What it is designed for
- Starting quickly, without an account, sign-up form, or pop-ups.
- One person editing a board at a time, on one device.
- Keeping boards in the browser, with files you can download to back them up or move them.
What it does not do
HiWhiteboard does not have user accounts, cloud sync, shared board links, live multi-user editing, comments, notifications, calendar integration, or AI features. If you need those, a team collaboration service is a better fit.
Open-source software
The drawing canvas is built on Excalidraw, an open-source editor released under the MIT License (Copyright © 2020 Excalidraw). Its bundled fonts are served from this site under their own licenses, listed in the project's third-party notices. Other components include Astro, React, dnd-kit, idb, and Zod, all under the MIT License. HiWhiteboard is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Excalidraw.

Accessibility
The site pages, Kanban board, menus, and dialogs are built to work with a keyboard and screen readers, with visible focus and announcements for moves and saving. The drawing canvas comes from the upstream editor and has limits for screen reader and keyboard-only use: drawing itself is a pointer activity. We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA on our own interface but do not claim certification.
